Common Birds and Their Songs

Description of Robin's voice from the book text:

Voice: The male's melodic, caroling song is a variable series of wavering, whistled phrases: "cheerily, cheeriup, cheerio, cheerily." Short pauses occur between songs. At dawn, song may be excited and continuous, without pauses. The most common call is a high-pitched, whinnylike outburst of notes. Alarm calls given near the nest sound like "peek . . . peek . . . tut, tut . . . peek . . . tut, tut . . ."
